Saturday 8th July

Up late for breakfast at 7.30! Missed the sunrise but still lovely colours on the lake

Ready for an 8.30 walk round the grounds and the many limas and plants here. New receptionist today!

So we saw crown lemurs and black and white ruffed lemur and a hybrid version!

We also enjoyed close up the black and white ruffed lemur

My turn next!

Then we met the indri again and got some lovely photos

Romeo also managed to treat us to a haunting concert of two families calling for their terrirories which was so loud!

David and the crown lemurs.

Next we met three red bellied lemurs. The males had white on their faces and the females on their bellies.

We also saw triangular palms

And several orchids. This apparently smells nice at 6pm for half an hour only!

We finished with a walk to see a view of the indian ocean and then sone carnivorous pitchers. This is the plant on the 2000 note!

So back to the room for a beer and banana and then a quick swim in the lake though it was a bit shallow!

Keith and I went in!

Next was a local dance group on the beach!

Amazing drummers

And so on to a lovely last meal of christaline and passionfruit, seafood tagliatelle or chicken kiev and veggie brochettes and a surprising hot chocolate fondant. Packing and reading in eve.
