Today we get to explore the Big Tsingy. Helen had decided to have a day off, staying at the hotel.
So we drove to the village to pick up our guide, Merrick, and then drive for a further 1 hour on even rougher roads to reach the entrance of the park (about 18km).
We started with a walk through the forest where we saw two species of lemur and a number of local birds: Paradise fly catcher, Madagascar Robin which was black and white!, Common Jery, and many more.

Then we came to the rocks. They are quite spectacular and the walk is quite physical, at places using carabineers and harnesses to ensure our safety.
