We joined the boat at around 10.30 and began our descent of the river.
Lunch was Avocado salad followed by Tilapia with rice (it took some skill to navigate around the bones!)
It was very relaxing just sitting on the boat watching the world go by.
We then arrived at a beautiful swimming hole under a waterfall near which lived a family of Common Brown Lemurs. We spent some time exploring, had a paddle, but didn’t go swimming.
Later in the day we arrived at Begidro village where we went for a walk to see the village. Unfortunately there was no tour of the tobacco factory since it was closed for the weekend.
We enjoyed a nice sunset with a rum punch apéro, vegetable soup, pork and potatoes, and boiled banana for dinner.
