Up at 6 for breakfast at 6.30 in case we had to leave and get the other boat further up. Happily the local boat was coming so we went to the landing spot for 8. The boat finally left at 11.30 after 3 transfer boats to load up. You can see the big boat behind us.
Waiting for our transfer boat
The boat left when everyone was loaded! A long time after we were told it would leave!
The trip took 4 hours and got rather rough so I was slightly poorly but we saw several whales on the way so that was exciting!
We were met by a driver from our hotel at Boraha Village about 15 minutes drive, 4 km on the otherside of the island. We arrived to a lovely room and a welcome drink of curacol juice.
A quick sort out and celebratory rum before there was an interesting conference on whales from a French student. Dinner next! Looking forward to it.
