Lovely 7 km walk round the bird reserve with an amazing amount of noise from the terns. Arrived at almost the right time to watch them Gois cover over.

We enjoyed watching the avocets again and lots of ruddy turnstones and an enormous colony of terns. We think we identified a common plover as our new bird for today.

And so back to see nearly high tide over the Gois. Spot the road sign! Finally a stop at the salt vendors to buy some Noirmoutier salt sold to me by a 60 year old lady who had harvested it herself! No photo as I was too busy advising her about her back!
