We were very surprised at how well sound insulated the cabins are; we slept very well and didn’t hear any sound from outside the cabin.
Our first port of call will be Ålesund; we have two full days at sea before we get there. The hardest thing will be living without internet access until we approach the Norwegian coast and can again pick up a non- maritme phone signal.
There are plenty of things to do on board, with lectures and activities, but much of our time seems to be taken up by eating!
After lunch, time to relax and then, of course, afternoon tea.
Then there was the Captain’s welcome bash (formal dress requested) …
And then, dinner!
And then some entertainment to round off the evening. I’m not sure how we’re going to survive this?
