Afternoon in Alnwick.

Picnic lunch overlooking the beautiful Alnwick castle where Harry Potter and Downton Abbey were filmed. 

Onto an incredible unique dog friendly second hand Barters bookshop in the old Alnwick Station.

There was a little model railway running round the top and à café in the old waiting room! A lovely open fire and soooo many books!

Followed by exploring the Ford and Etal Estate where we are camped owned by Lord and,Lady Joicey. 2 castles, Ford village, a corn mill, steam train, village hall painted and decorated by lady Waterford herself  with biblical scenes between 1862

The school was used till 1950’s
