Surprise visit to Erddig Hall, half an hour from Tattenhall, which is featured in the National Trust magazine with music from their instruments this month. Atmospheric photos through the mist and a very interesting tour of some of their 174 different apples grown on the estate! The names were intriguing. Shame we couldn’t taste them all. See if you can spot the saw amongst the instruments, and the beautiful organ bought by the 15 year old son of the Yorke family at the time! They were all called Simon or Phillip!
Half hour orange walk to see the motte and bailey castle
Also discovered a ram pump.
