After a great journey we arrived at 3-ish and settled into our lovely chalet having enjoyed previewing the famous Keukenhof gardens as we passed! Welcome to the chalet with bright pink Dutch cakes. A quick supermarket shop turned into our first learning experience. The first supermarket we chose turned out to be Polish, so didn’t really have the sort of things we wanted to buy! The second one only took maestro cards (Visa and Mastercard not accepted) so we had to leave our shopping and drive to the town centre to find some cash before returning to complete the transaction! We had time for a few photos in the sun by the local fields while David prepared dinner.
